About

Shiitake, strain 3790 (Lentinula edodes) as an agar slant in a sealed test tube. A slant is the storage format: it holds a strain far longer than a plate without transferring, so this is what you buy to hold genetics rather than to inoculate a run this week. Generation 2 to 3 out of the Southwest Mushrooms library, drawn from a working production strain rather than a frozen archive culture. Made to order, so it ships in about three weeks.

I have a tone of liquid culture now the chestnut is so far the most aggressive with the blue green oyster hot on its heels, the lions mane and black pearl where a little slower but are now looking good. I used rye berry for my first stage of substrate the g.b. oyster and chestnut are doing well and almost ready for the next stage. I'm not sure that the lions main and black king pearl like the rye berry im going too get some soft red winter wheat berry and try that. Thank s for the info on YouTube.
